BLAME THE BRATS, NOT THE CAR
Sheer driving pleasure. That's what they tell you BMW is all about, that's the selling pitch. To be ensconced in one, and more importantly, to be
seen in one, they say, represents the culmination of one's worldly desires. But the car has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. However , proud owners say the mangled heap of what is popularly known as 'the ultimate driving machine,' during Sanjeev Nanda's trial as well as the more recent accident near Defence Colony, involving 19-yearold Utsav Bhasin who allegedly hit two men on a motorcycle on September 11, has not tarnished the brand's credibility.

Tourist police of no help: Visitors
A tourist is often greeted to the Capital by pesky touts or auto and taxi drivers trying to drive a hard bargain. This despite the fact that tourist police vans are present at railway stations and airport. And if the situation continues to be as grim, especially with the Commonwealth Games 2010 approaching, Delhi may never earn the precious tag of a tourist-friendly city.

Hotline will let drivers vent
Everyone who has ever driven a vehicle has undoubtedly experienced moments of frustration behind the wheel. Incidents such as being cut off on the highway or another driver running a stop sign when you clearly have the right of way can send one's blood pressure soaring.

Poor driving habits by other motorists have the potential to set off individuals who are otherwise calm, rational people. This is what leads to incidents of road rage.

Be financially prepared for life
For most of us, our insurance portfolio consists of a term cover and a Mediclaim policy. This may not suffice, for an insurance cover should be taken as an effective antidote to our family’s financial problems in our absence, adding to one’s sense of security.

Moving on with different roles—from a dependent child’s to a provider’s—our needs change. To keep pace with them, we need to re-examine and improve our insurance covers just as we need to re-jig our investment portfolios from time to time.
