01 November 2010, Mohali, Punjab, India

At International Meetings organized by United Nations, WHO, like the First Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety held in Moscow on November 2009, the missing Political Will on Road Safety has been considered an important reason for the increase in number of Road Crashes and fatalities.

ArriveSAFE, NGO on Road Safety has been urging the politicians to consider this important issue. Today, the Punjab Unit of Indian Youth Congress started Nav Inqalab Yatra from Mohali Punjab.

The National Leaders like Rajeev Satav, President, Indian Youth Congress, Ravneet Singh Bittu, MP from Anandpur Sahib and President Youth Congress Punjab and Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, MP from Sangrur signed the “ArriveSAFE, Make Roads Safe – Decade of Action for Road Safety” pledge and vowed to add Road Safety in their national agenda and take the message all across India. This is a very significant step as the young leaders have come forward to fill the important missing connection.
